Merry Christmas!

My girl is a sponge...

Audrey is learning and absorbing (get it, sponge) so much! I swear, the girl learns something new every.single.day. Just yesterday, Audrey learned to count! Ha ha! Well, Ben would say "One" and she would yell out "Two"!! She did it over and over again, it was hilarious! She really is learning so many words now, it's only a matter of time before little sentences start coming out. It's so funny how she "talks" to us. It's all gibberish, but she has such inflection in her voice and is usually doing some type of hand gesture as well!

She is really getting into her toys now too! Blocks are a big hit and she's up to stacking 4(!) on top of each other. I don't know about you, but I was impressed! :) She loves her baby doll too. Always calling out for her "baybay" She tries to give her milk, and then burps her by patting her back. And when I say "is the baby sleepy?" She goes and gets a little blanket, puts it on the baby and says "nigh nigh"! Just like Audrey's bedtime routine! Smart Cookie. I just love watching her grow and learn everyday!

Loving life as a 1 year old!

Audrey has quite the eventful first month as a 1 year old! We took a trip down to our old hometown of San Antonio to see Notre Dame take on Washington St. The game was on halloween so Audrey went as her fav QB Jimmy Clausen! Here's a few pics from the trip and a few of us just hanging around the house! She's getting sooo big!!!

Here we are back home. Audrey woke up with the most serious case of bedhead I've ever seen! And she is still lacking in the department!! Oh, how I wish for the days when I can put her hair in a pony tail! I'm sure I'll be kicking myself once that day comes, but a girl can dream, right!?!

Not the battery...

If there is anyone out there that has a good recommendation on point & shoot camera, I would love to hear it.

Of, course if anyone wants to send me a DSLR because they can't live without seeing pictures of Audrey, I'll hear that too.

Technology hates me

First my laptop decides to go to computer heaven so we've had to make due with the ancient desktop for posting pictures and videos. Well, the source of those pictures and videos has decided that it no longer wants to work :( My camera will not turn on - i think it's a battery problem so hopefully a quick trip to BestBuy will do the trick. If not, I guess we'll be in the market for a new camera...hmm, don't you think a nice DSLR will make a good wedding anniversary present?? I kid, I kid. Anyway, I really do think it's the battery, but I feel like I'm missing out on Audrey's last couple of weeks as a baby. And you know we need the camera working for the 1st birthday bash - So sorry for lack of posts, we'll be back soon! :)

Belated 11 Months

Audrey turned 11 months old last Friday! As you can tell from the posts below, it was a big week for her :) We are just about finished making plans for her 1st birthday party - an ice cream party at Malley's. YUM!!! I can't believe my little peanut is turning 1 in a month *tear*

That's right, Audrey took her first steps tonight!!! When she woke up this morning, she thought to herself "Self, today is the day I walk!" And that she did...mind you it was just about 3 or 4 wobbly steps, but unassisted, no help from mom or dad, got from point A to point B steps!

Can you tell I'm excited!?!

10 Months!

It's the 11th & Audrey is another month older! I'm sure you can guess how I'm feeling, so let's just get to the pictures!!!

It is getting increasingly harder to take a picture of Audrey in the green chair. Here's a little glimpse into how our photo shoot went this morning and what I can only imagine was going on in Audrey's head...

Summer Lovin'

Wow! I am actually able to upload pictures on the ancient Dell desktop I pulled out of storage! Perhaps, the blog will come back to life :)

We've been having lots of fun this summer! A long trip to see Mom Mom & Pop Pop at the Jersey shore, lots of playdates, and just enjoying the beautiful Cleveland weather.
